<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Stay at home moms are giving their family the most valuable gift possible–their time and attention. But a stay at home mom has tremendously busy days full of conflicting priorities and a seemingly unending list of tasks. Her energy is her most valuable asset when it comes to making it through those long, exhausting days. </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">With so much to do around the house taking care of the children and pets and yourself, cooking, cleaning, managing homework or teaching if you are homeschooling your children. Mothers want to give their children so much, but you can’t give what you don’t possess yourself. If you want to give your children the love and nurturing that they need in order to grow and thrive you must first give those things to yourself. Managing your energy is the key to handling everything that comes at you with poise and grace.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Here are some tips for planning your day and managing your energy as you complete your tasks:</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Set Realistic Goals</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Don’t try to be all things to all people. Aiming to be a supermom is a recipe for burnout and disaster. Learning to say no respectfully without making excuses is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Pace yourself </strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Break your larger goals into daily, and then hourly chunks. </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Organize living and working space</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Keeping your kitchen, office and your children’s rooms organized saves so much time and energy. When you don’t have to rush around looking for lost keys and that missing shoe things go more smoothly.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Identify your daily priorities</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Choose the most important thing that you must do on a given day and go after that task first.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Schedule breaks throughout the day</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Make sure to have some down time when you can just enjoy spending time reading or playing with your child. </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Relax and breathe </strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">When you are in the thick of things don’t forget to breathe. Taking deep, mindful breaths and even a 60 second meditation can completely shift your energy.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"><strong>Re-assess goals weekly</strong></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Take the time weekly to decide what’s working and what needs to change. Ask yourself if you are you getting the support that you need. Is it time to stretch yourself further?</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">Are you a </span><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="../../"><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;">stay at home mom</span></a></span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif;"> who is looking to find a way to put your knowledge and passion to work so that you can develop a business of your own without sacrificing your time with your family?
